    Great little thrower!

I have had the little powerhouse for about two months now. It seems my girlfriend also likes it so I have to go track it down when I want it 🙂 The light and it’s intended purpose of a small hand-held searchlight work wonderfully. If Convoy made a battery extension tube and smaller more pocketable head for it I would never need another light, well….wonderful battery usage, simple UI, well made.

    Best 21700 flashlight

For the money, you will NOT find a better 21700 flashlight. Extremely bright……..very defined hotspot with nice side spill. Long throw if needed. Adjustable light output with a simple user interface. I am very happy with the overall quality and performance.

Professional level of performance available to everyone

This is the best value thrower flashlight available anywhere. Sure, there are flashlights that will throw light further than the L21B but they start to get out of hand very quick, meaning the size and/or price of the lights start taking off to get more performance. The L21B will throw light over 1300 meters, it’s been independently verified by enthusiast, that’s as far as many of the available laser based LEP flashlights on the market which are also hundreds of dollars and not as usable as this. The L21B is a fairly basic flashlight, it doesn’t have a crazy user interface like anduril, it doesn’t have onboard charging, and it doesn’t look as special as it actually is. I would suggest people get the SFT40 version of this light as it has the most usable light imo, this version has more “spill” than other versions, like the osram, meaning that it has light surrounding outside of the focused beam so that you can see close around you without having to point the focused beam directly at your close up surroundings. If you want a nicer looking version of this light with better heat dissipation and a slightly further throw, I would suggest the Convoy L21A its just a slightly nicer version of this light for a few dollars more. If you don’t need quite as much throw and you want an even more usable and nicer light, I would highly suggest the Wurkkos TS30S. The TS30S has a beast of an emitter, the SBT90.2, it throws over 950 meters with over three times the lumen output of the L21 and it has anduril 2 for completely customizable configurations. The TS30S is about $70 though and while it’s an amazing value even at that price it just shows how much of an incredible value this convoy light really is. For the price I would suggest every enthusiast on a budget pick this light up or one of the other two lights I mentioned, being the Convoy L21A or my favorite of the three the Wurkkos TS30S.
